  • Advanced laboratories and research facilities

  • Well-equipped libraries and modern computer networks

  • Interaction with highly qualified faculty members

  • Exposure to both traditional and modern teaching methodologies

  • Students also experience a vibrant campus life where they interact with peers who share similar academic ambitions and career goals.

Admission Through JEE Advanced

Admission to IITs is offered through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced), which is one of the most challenging engineering entrance examinations in India.

Students who qualify in JEE Main and rank among the top candidates are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

Successful candidates can then apply for admission to IITs through the official counselling and seat allocation process.

Programs Offered at IITs

  • Successful candidates can enroll in various undergraduate programs such as:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

  • Integrated Master’s Programs

  • Dual Degree Programs (Bachelor’s + Master’s)

  • Architecture and specialized science programs

  • Some institutes also offer opportunities to pursue honours programs or minor specializations depending on academic performance.

Program Structure

Courses at IITs follow a credit-based academic system, allowing students to progress according to their academic performance.

This system provides flexibility in choosing subjects and encourages independent learning.

The medium of instruction is English, and students must maintain a minimum academic performance to successfully complete their program.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Students who wish to secure admission to IITs must:

  2. Qualify in JEE Main and rank among the top candidates eligible for JEE Advanced

  3. Meet the age and attempt limits specified for the examination

  4. Have completed Class XII (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

  5. Meet the required minimum marks or percentile criteria in the board examinations

Official Guidelines Note

Specific eligibility conditions and seat allocation procedures are announced each year by the official JEE authorities.
